FAQ

Questions about accounting

The essentials before getting your accounts up and running.

What chart of accounts does it use?

The base chart of accounts is the Spanish General Accounting Plan, organized into groups, sub-groups, accounts and sub-accounts. You can customize it by creating the accounts and headings specific to your activity without breaking the hierarchical structure of the PGC.

Does it generate tax forms?

Yes. It automatically prepares the data for the main forms: VAT return (303), annual summary (390), withholdings (111/115) and the basis for corporate income tax (200). You export the amounts ready to file with the AEAT.

Is it automatic or do I have to do everything by hand?

It is fundamentally automatic. Most entries are born from invoices, payments, collections and expenses without you having to key them in. Manual entries are reserved for occasional adjustments, and all are validated with double entry to avoid imbalances.
