Does it manage bills of materials?
Yes. Each manufactured product has its bill of materials (BOM) with the components, sub-assemblies and required quantities per unit. When launching a production order, the system automatically calculates the requirements of each component and checks whether there is enough stock in the warehouse.
Does it calculate manufacturing costs?
Of course. The cost of each batch is obtained by adding the cost of consumed materials, the direct labor allocated and the manufacturing overheads distributed according to the criterion you define. This way you know your real cost price, not an estimate, and you can margin with confidence.
